Start Chat with Contacts
Starting a chat conversation in EasyDo 365 is simple and intuitive, designed to get you communicating with colleagues instantly. Whether you need to coordinate with a team member, follow up with a client, or discuss a project, the chat interface provides immediate, real-time communication that keeps your workplace connected.

Starting a New Chat
Open EasyDo Tasks App
Launch the EasyDo Tasks app on your phone.
Tap the Plus Button
Tap the plus button (+) in the top right corner of the screen.
An options menu will appear with various actions.
Choose Your Contact
Select who you want to chat with:
Browse Contacts:
- Scroll through your contact list
- Contacts are organized alphabetically
- See contact names and photos
Search:
- Use the search bar at the top
- Type name, email, or phone number
- Quick filtering of contacts
- Instant results as you type
Add New Contact:
- Tap "Add New Contact" option
- Enter contact details (name, phone, email)
- Save to your contact list
- Immediately available for chat
Open Chat Interface
After selecting the person, the chat interface opens automatically.
You'll see:
- Conversation history (if any)
- Message input field
- Send button
- Plus icon for additional features
Type Your Message
Type your message in the specified text field at the bottom of the screen.
Send Message
Tap the send icon (usually a paper plane or arrow).
Your message is instantly sent and appears in the conversation.
Chat Interface Features
Message Display
Your messages: Typically appear on the right side Their messages: Appear on the left side
Message Status Indicators:
- Single checkmark: Sent
- Double checkmark: Delivered
- Blue checkmarks: Read (if enabled)
- Clock icon: Sending
Quick Actions
Message Actions (long-press on message):
- Copy text
- Forward message
- Delete message
- Reply to specific message
- Star/favorite message
Additional Features
Access via the plus icon in chat:
- Send photos/videos
- Share documents
- Delegate tasks
- Schedule meetings
- Request approvals

Finding Existing Chats
Recent Chats:
- Main chat screen shows recent conversations
- Sorted by most recent activity
- Unread messages highlighted
- Quick access to active conversations
Search Chats:
- Search bar at top of chat list
- Find conversations by name
- Search message content
- Filter by date
Pinned Chats:
- Pin important conversations to top
- Long-press chat and select "Pin"
- Always accessible
- Organize by priority
