Submitting an Overtime Request

Method 1: Via Employee Dashboard

Open the EasyDo Tasks app on your smartphone. Tap the Company tab at the bottom, then navigate to the Employee Dashboard.

Access OT Request

On the dashboard, tap the OT Request button to begin the overtime request process.

Fill in Overtime Details

Title: Enter a descriptive title for the overtime request (e.g., "Overtime - Project Deadline - March 15").

Date: Tap the date field and select the date when you need to work overtime.

Notes: Add detailed information explaining:

  • Reason for overtime requirement
  • Tasks to be completed
  • Business justification
  • Expected duration of overtime
  • Whether this is pre-planned or emergency overtime

Attachments (optional): Add any supporting documents like project timelines or manager emails requesting overtime.

Review and Submit

After entering all information, click the Submit button.

Confirm Reporting Manager

A pop-up appears: "Request will be sent to your reporting manager [Manager's Name]. Continue or select another reporting manager?"

  • Yes, Send Now: Submit to designated manager
  • No, Select Manager: Choose different approver
  • Cancel, Don't Send: Cancel the request

Confirmation

The overtime request is submitted and shows as pending for approval from your manager.

Method 2: Via Manager Chat

Open Manager's Chat

Launch the app and open the chat conversation with your reporting manager.

Access Request Approval

Click the plus icon in the chat. From the options menu, tap Request Approval.

Select Overtime Request

From the approval menu, select Overtime Request and follow the same steps for filling in information.
